Mink (1999-2010)

Minkie is a kiss ass. No two ways about it. It’s not submissive kissing. It’s manipulative. But she’s so cute when she does it. Mink was dropped from the team in December 2006 because of an injury. Last year, she completed all of the training without a problem. Still, like Vixen (a half sister) and Otter (a litter mate), she will turn nine during this season. During 2005-2006 I did 12 dog mid-distance races, Mink was my most consistent leader and I used her in lead for every race that year. Mink is another dog who is always happy. Maybe that’s the quiet confidence that comes from knowing that she really can work the kiss-ass thing.
