Quid

When I visited Alaska a couple of summers ago, I was asked to pick out my best dog. I picked two. They were Quid and Shoshone. A couple of the younger dogs may have passed him since then, but he's still right up there. With people Quid is very outgoing and very sweet. Like Ghost, he also wants to be king of the hill. When he first arrived at the kennel he found himself slowly working his way down the pecking order. He’s good sized, athletic, and can’t fight to save his life. I think he beats Ghost, but it’s not by much. And he has eight pounds or so on the boy. I think he has resigned himself to his status, though he still grumbles a lot in the yard. Of course part of that is because his nephew, Shoshone, is provoking him.
